🔍 Leaves with windowed, smooth, translucent, reticulated surfaces with pinkish tones. Rosettes up to 10 cm in diameter.
📍 Succulent with distribution from Touwsrivier in the Western Cape province and north to Sutherland in the Northern Cape province in the Republic of South Africa. It inhabits mountainous areas up to 1,000 m altitude. The species Haworthiopsis granulata is one of the four representatives of the Section Tessellatae, which is one of the seven sections described in the publication by Gildenhuys & Klopper (2016) on its taxonomy. It belongs to the Alooideae tribe within the family Asphodelaceae.
🌡️ USDA ZONE 8a to 9a. It can tolerate frost. The minimum recommended temperature is -5ºC.
☀️ For healthy and stress-free growth, it needs partial shade or a PAR radiation intensity greater than 20 moles of daily photons.
🌸 Small, white, bilabiate flowers. It blooms several times per season starting from 3-4 years when temperature and water access conditions are adequate.
💧 It is opportunistic. It can be watered throughout the year, always allowing the substrate to dry between waterings. It does not rest in summer like its Haworthia cousins.
