📍Native to the Chihuahua desert in Mexico, specifically the San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, and Nuevo León regions. This plant is known as Bishop's Cap and belongs to the family Cactaceae.
🌡️USDA ZONE 8a. It has excellent cold tolerance, as it inhabits mountainous areas between 1,300 to 1,600 meters in altitude, enduring temperatures of -7ºC.
☀️For compact growth, it needs sun or a PAR radiation intensity greater than 25 moles of photons daily.
🌸 Flowers up to 10 cm in diameter, yellow at the apex. It blooms multiple times per season starting from 3-4 years of age, between May and September. Ideal for children. Spineless.
💧Winter dormancy. For indoor cultivation, watering is recommended between April and September.
