🌱 Morphology: Variegated cultivar of Aeonium ‘Bronze Medal’, with a low, compact, and highly branched growth habit. It produces numerous short stems ending in small rosettes, approximately 6 cm in diameter. The leaves are fleshy and feature an attractive combination of green, cream, yellow, and pink, often with a darker band in the center and a fine reddish margin. In bright light, the pink tones intensify. Some pups may have areas that are almost completely yellow due to their low chlorophyll content.

🌍 Distribution, habitat, and family: It is a horticultural cultivar with no natural distribution of its own. It belongs to the Crassulaceae family. Its origins are in Asian horticulture, and it is currently grown and marketed internationally. It is also commercially available as ‘Bronze Medal Variegated’, ‘Sweet Tea’, and ‘Cream Tea’.

❄️ Temperature: Approximately USDA 10a–11b. For cultivation in Spain, I recommend keeping it above 5°C, although some growers indicate that it can briefly tolerate around 0–2°C in dry conditions. Cold combined with moisture greatly increases the risk of rot.

☀️ Lighting: Target approximately 15–25 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹ of PAR DLI during growth. It needs plenty of light to maintain its variegation and compact growth habit, but the yellow and cream areas are more sensitive to burning. In Madrid, it is advisable to protect it from the most intense direct sunlight during heatwaves.

💧 Growth cycle: Primarily active in autumn, spring, and mild periods, greatly reducing its activity during the intense heat of summer. During growth, water abundantly and allow the substrate to dry out completely before watering again. In summer, drastically reduce watering and keep it very dry during heatwaves.

🌸 Flowering: Flowering is poorly documented and has not been consistently observed in cultivation. Therefore, I do not recommend assigning it a specific month in the commercial listing.

🌿 Nutrition: During active growth, use Desert CHOICE at a moderate dose. Reduce or suspend feeding during the summer dormancy period.
