🌱 Morphology
A compact horticultural hybrid that forms rosettes of very fleshy, thick, tightly packed leaves, with an approximate diameter of 8–12 cm. The leaves are broad in the middle, oval to slightly angular in outline, and gently pointed at the tip. Their color is silvery gray or bluish gray, enhanced by a whitish coating of farina that gives them a powdery appearance. In bright light, they may develop pink or lilac hues, especially along the margins. The rosette retains a sculptural, orderly silhouette, characteristic of many hybrids of Pachyphytum and Echeveria.
🌍 Distribution, habitat, and family
A cultivar of horticultural origin, with no natural distribution of its own. According to the French nursery Succuland, it was created by C. Camassel in 2017, by crossing Pachyphytum compactum × Echeveria lilacina. Family Crassulaceae, nothogenus ×Pachyveria.
❄️ Temperature
USDA zone 9b (−3.9 °C) as a general guideline, not a guarantee of hardiness. Protect it from prolonged frost and damp cold, especially when grown in a pot.
☀️ Lighting
Gentle full sun, with gradual acclimation. Indicative PAR DLI of 15–25 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹. Abundant light encourages compact growth and may intensify the pink or lilac hues. In summer, it is best to protect it from the harshest sunlight during heat waves. To preserve the farina, avoid rubbing the leaves.
💧 Growth cycle and watering
Opportunistic, with growth mainly during the mild seasons. Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to dry out completely before watering again. In winter, water less frequently, especially when temperatures are low. Avoid waterlogging and persistent moisture at the base of the rosette.
🌸 Flowering
It may produce flower stalks with small bell-shaped flowers, described commercially as pink or orange. The exact flowering time and coloration are not sufficiently documented to establish them as consistent traits.
🌿 Nutrition
During the active growing period, Desert CHOICE® Succulents is recommended, applied after watering. Before flowering, it can be supplemented with Desert CHOICE® Bloom. Fertilizing is not recommended during winter dormancy.
