Native to Peru , also known as Echinopsis winteriana , it is the most notable species of the genus for its striking flowers. It has good heat tolerance , needs sun and can withstand temperatures of -5ºC . It flowers between February and March . Watering is recommended between March and October . Its development is improved by providing nutrition with Desert CHOICE® Cactaceae .
