🔍 Leaves with windowed, rough, and tuberculate surfaces. In contrast to the dark green of their leaves, these features are very pronounced. It belongs to the Trifariae section, meaning its rosettes are arranged in series of three leaves and can form long, branched stems.
📍 Succulent with few populations near the town of Steytlerville in the Eastern Cape province in the Republic of South Africa. It inhabits mountainous areas at an altitude of up to 1,500 m. Rainfall in this area is more frequent in summer. The species Haworthiopsis sordida is one of the two representatives of the Virescentes Section, which is one of the seven sections described in the publication by Gildenhuys & Klopper (2016) on its taxonomy. It belongs to the Alooideae tribe within the Asphodelaceae family.
