€21,20
🌱 Morphology
A hybrid cultivar of unknown parentage characterized by rosettes of large, cymbiform leaves in green and coppery tones, giving the plant an "oxidized" appearance.
🌍 Origin, habitat and family
An Haworthia cultivar of unverified horticultural ancestry. The genus Haworthia comprises succulents native to southern Africa, adapted to filtered light conditions and periods of limited water availability.
Family Asphodelaceae · Tribe Alooideae · Genus Haworthia.
❄️ Temperature — USDA 10a
As a conservative cultivation guideline, it should be kept above -1 °C and protected from frost, especially when the substrate is moist.
☀️ Lighting
Bright, indirect light or bright partial shade is recommended. Sudden exposure to intense sun should be avoided, as it can cause burns and dehydration. As an initial guideline, a PAR DLI of 8–15 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹ can be used, adjusting it to the plant's acclimatization and response.
💧 Growth cycle and watering
Summer dormancy. During growth in the cooler seasons, it is recommended to water thoroughly and allow the substrate to dry before watering again. In summer, with high temperatures, it is advisable to reduce watering and maintain good ventilation. In many Haworthias, old roots can deteriorate during summer dormancy and renew when growth resumes in autumn. Waterlogging should be avoided throughout the year.
🌸 Flowering
Produces an elongated inflorescence with small whitish tubular flowers, typical of the genus.
🌿 Nutrition
During active growth, Desert CHOICE® Aloes, Haworthias & Co. is recommended, with NPK 3-2-8 and calcium and magnesium. Reduce or suspend fertilization during summer dormancy.
