🌱 Morphology
Hybrid succulent with a clumping habit, developing clusters of small rosettes and forming clumps over time. Its lanceolate, fleshy, pointed leaves have a flat or slightly concave upper surface and a convex underside. The epidermis shows blue-greentones, with pink hues that intensify especially on the underside and under suitable lighting. The thin, translucent margins create a delicate whitish outline, while the apex ends in a small aristate tip that adds character to the rosette.
🌍 Distribution, habitat and family
Horticultural cultivar with no native distribution. I have not found sufficiently solid documentation to confirm its genealogy, the original breeder or a creation date. It belongs to the Crassulaceae family. As it is a cultivar of unconfirmed hybrid origin, it is not appropriate to assign it a taxonomic series.
❄️ Temperature
USDA 10a (−1.1 °C) as a conservative cultivation reference. It is recommended to protect it from frost, especially when the substrate is wet, and keep it in a ventilated place during the winter. The USDA zone limit does not guarantee the individual tolerance of the plant.
☀️ Lighting
Bright partial shade, DLI PAR 12–20 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹. Intense light, with soft morning sun, helps keep the rosettes compact and promotes pink tones. It is advisable to gradually acclimate it to sun exposure and protect it from the strongest sun during the summer.
💧 Growth cycle and watering
Opportunistic, with growth favored by moderate temperatures. It is recommended to water thoroughly and allow the substrate to dry out completely before the next watering. Reduce watering during cold weather and heatwaves. Avoid waterlogging and persistent moisture in the center of the rosettes.
🌸 Flowering
Like other echeverias, it can produce lateral flower stalks with bell-shaped flowers.
🌿 Nutrition
During the active growth period, Desert CHOICE® Succulents is recommended, applied after watering. Before flowering, it can be supplemented with Desert CHOICE® Flowering. Fertilizing is not recommended during the winter dormancy period.
