🌱 Morphology
   A small hybrid aloe with an almost prehistoric appearance. It forms compact rosettes of fleshy, triangular, long and pointed leaves, slightly arched outwards. The dark green epidermis is densely covered with irregular light green, cream or yellowish-white spots and streaks, creating a pattern reminiscent of reptile skin. The margins feature small teeth. It produces abundant offsets and can quickly form dense clumps. Under high radiation, reddish or purple tones appear, especially on the edges.

🌍 Distribution, habitat and family
Horticultural hybrid attributed to Kelly Griffin. It does not exist in the wild nor does it have a natural geographical distribution. The exact parentage is not published in the identified reliable sources. It belongs to the Asphodelaceae family, Alooideae tribe, Aloe genus.

❄️ Temperature — USDA 9b
Tolerates minimum temperatures of up to −4 ºC. When potted, it is recommended to protect it from prolonged frosts and, above all, to prevent the substrate from remaining moist during cold spells.

☀️ Lighting
It needs plenty of light to maintain a compact rosette and enhance the contrast of the spots. Gentle direct sunlight or very bright partial shade is recommended, with gradual acclimatization. As a cultivation reference, 20–30 mol/m²/day of DLI PAR is suitable. Intense sun exposure can cause temporary purple coloration.

💧 Growth cycle and watering
Summer dormancy. During the active period, it is recommended to water thoroughly and let the substrate dry out completely before the next watering. During the hottest weeks, watering frequency is reduced, while in mild temperatures it can maintain vegetative activity.

🌸 Flowering
It flowers infrequently. When it reaches maturity, it can produce inflorescences with orange tubular flowers. No sufficiently solid information has been found to determine a fixed season or to consider it reblooming within the same season.

🌿 Nutrition
During the active growth period, Desert CHOICE® Aloes, Haworthias & Co. is recommended, with a high content of bioavailable potassium and calcium. It is applied with watering, reducing or suspending fertilization during summer dormancy.
