Family Asphodelaceae · Tribe Alooideae · Genus Haworthia.
❄️ Temperature — USDA 10a
It is recommended to protect it from frost and preferably keep it above 5 °C, especially when the substrate is moist. It needs fast drainage and good ventilation during cold periods.
☀️ Lighting
Abundant indirect light or bright partial shade. As an initial reference, a PAR DLI of 8–15 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹ is recommended, adjusting it according to the specimen's response. It is advisable to avoid intense midday sun, which can cause burns and alter leaf coloration.
💧 Growth cycle and watering
Summer dormancy. It is recommended to water thoroughly during active growth and allow the substrate to dry before watering again. During intense heat, it is advisable to reduce watering and increase ventilation, avoiding both waterlogging and prolonged dehydration when growth resumes.
🌸 Flowering
Produces an elongated inflorescence with small whitish and greenish flowers, typical of the genus Haworthia.
🌿 Nutrition
It is recommended to use Desert CHOICE® Aloes, Haworthias & Co., NPK 3-2-8 with calcium and magnesium, during active growth. It is advisable to reduce or suspend fertilization during summer dormancy and avoid the accumulation of salts in the substrate.
