📍This cultivar, created by Japanese nurserymen, comes from the botanical species originally found in the Tamaulipas desert in Mexico and northern Texas in the USA. Its original botanical species is known as Peyotillo and belongs to the family Cactaceae.
🌡️USDA ZONE 9b. It tolerates mild frosts, as it inhabits areas no higher than 500 meters above sea level, and cannot withstand temperatures below -4ºC.
☀️For compact growth, it needs sun or a PAR radiation intensity greater than 25 moles of photons daily.
🌸 Flowers up to 10 cm in diameter, yellow with characteristic red throats. It blooms several times per season from 3-4 years old, between May and September. Ideal for children. It has no spines.
💧Winter dormancy. For indoor cultivation, watering is recommended between April and September.
