🌱 Morphology
A hybrid succulent that forms compact rosettes up to 20 cm in diameter and about 10 cm in height. Its leaves are thick, fleshy, and elongated, deep green, with tips that take on pink, reddish, or maroon hues when receiving abundant light. The combination of green leaves and vibrant tips provides a very characteristic contrast. Over time, it can develop short stems and form clusters of rosettes. There is also a crested form, in which the growth widens into a wavy and sculptural structure.
🌍 Distribution, habitat, and family
Horticultural hybrid between Cremnophila linguifolia and Echeveria setosa var. ciliata, according to specialized cultivation sources. It has no natural distribution of its own. Family Crassulaceae, nothogenus ×Cremneria, created for hybrids between Cremnophila and Echeveria.
❄️ Temperature
USDA 10a (−1.1 °C) as a conservative reference, not as a tolerance guarantee. It is recommended to protect it from frost and cold humidity, especially when the substrate remains wet.
☀️ Lighting
Full sun, with gradual acclimatization. Indicative DLI PAR of 15–25 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹. Abundant light promotes compaction and reddish coloration of the tips. During extreme heat episodes, it is advisable to protect it from the harshest sun and maintain good ventilation.
💧 Growth cycle and watering
Opportunistic. During active growth, it is recommended to water thoroughly and let the substrate dry completely before the next watering. In winter, watering should be spaced out, especially if temperatures drop. Waterlogging and water accumulation between the leaves should be avoided.
🌸 Flowering
Produces inflorescences that can rise up to about 35 cm, with reddish flowers and yellow tips. There is not enough verified data available on the age of first flowering, self-fertility, or re-flowering in several rounds during the same season.
🌿 Nutrition
During the active growth period, Desert CHOICE® Succulents is recommended, applied after watering. Before flowering, it can be supplemented with Desert CHOICE® Flowering. It is not recommended to fertilize during winter dormancy.
