🌱 Morphology
A compact Aloe hybrid that forms rosettes of fleshy, triangular, and elongated leaves, densely covered with tubercles or small protuberances that give it a very characteristic texture. The leaves are bluish-green and can acquire bronze, coppery, or reddish tones when exposed to intense light. The margins have relatively small and regular teeth. It produces offsets easily and can form compact clusters. Its appearance is very similar to the so-called ‘Blue Castilloniae Hybrid’, but ‘Wildfire’ has a clearly higher density of tubercles.

🌍 Distribution, habitat, and family
It is a horticultural hybrid associated with Kelly Griffin's hybridization program, developed in California and marketed by Altman Plants. It does not have its own natural distribution or habitat. Its complete genealogy is not reliably published, so we do not attribute specific parents. ‘Wildfire’ and ‘Blue Castilloniae Hybrid’ have been described as sibling clones from the same hybridization line. It belongs to the family Asphodelaceae.

❄️ Temperature
USDA 9b–11b as a practical reference for compact hybrid Aloes in this group. For cultivation in Spain, we recommend keeping it above 5 ºC, especially in a pot. It can withstand occasional drops close to 0 ºC if it is completely dry and protected, but we do not recommend frosts or combining cold with wet substrate.

☀️ Lighting
During growth, 20–30 mol·m⁻²·day⁻¹ of DLI PAR. It needs a lot of light to keep the rosettes compact and develop the characteristic bronze coloration. Intense lighting also promotes the expression of the tubercles. In Madrid, it is advisable to progressively acclimate it to the sun and protect it from excessive radiation during the central hours of the most extreme summer days.

💧 Growth cycle
It is opportunistic, growing when temperatures are favorable. It can slow down during cold winters and during periods of extreme heat. Water generously and allow the substrate to dry completely before the next watering. In winter and during heatwaves, space out waterings considerably and always maintain excellent drainage.

🌸 Flowering
It produces inflorescences with the characteristic tubular flowers of aloes.
