El picón volcánico.
USOS DEL PICÓN VOLCÁNICO . ⚗️Sus propiedades físicas, químicas e hidrofísicas, le van a permitir a ese componente mineral, ser usado de diferente manera según su granulometría (tamaño medio de las particulas). 🔹Tiene una porosidad total del 71% y gracias a los poros internos tiene una capacidad de aireación de un 48,5%, que es superior a la perlita. No retiene nutrientes (muy baja Capacidad de Intercambio Cationico) y tiene un pH de 7,5 1️⃣Picón fino. Con tamaños homogéneos de grano de 2-4 m.✔️Se usa para realizar mezclas de sustrato de cultivo. No debe de mezclarse con partículas de otros minerales de mayor tamaño. Sabemos que las mezclas con tamaños homogéneos funcionan mejor respecto al drenaje de agua en el sustrato.✔️Puede usarse como cobertura en xerofíticas de tamaño mini o de lento crecimiento: Lithops, Haworthias, etc. 2️⃣ Picón medio. Con granulometría de 5-7 mm. Ideal como árido de cobertura para plantas de tamaño mediano. Principalmente cultivadas en maceta. 3️⃣Picón grueso. Con tamaños de 8-12 mm. Perfecto para plantas y macetas de gran tamaño y para su aplicación como cobertura en zonas ajardinadas.
