Originaria de Oaxaca (Mexico), a esta planta se la conoce como maguey y pertenece a la familia Agavaceae. Tiene excelente tolerancia al calor, necesita sol parcial y soporta temperaturas de -3ºC. Floración monocárpica. En cultivo interior se recomienda su riego entre marzo y octubre. Su desarrollo mejora aportando nutrición con Desert CHOICE® Suculentas.
